A prototype of MX Rider for the PlayStation 2.

Notes

  • Normally crashes after loading a track on PCSX2 but applying Delay VIF1 stalls under Game Fixes will make this playable, such issues do not happen on physical hardware.
  • Intro uses different gameplay clips compared to retail and lacks any mention of Atari.
  • Main Menu has scrolling text at the bottom displaying every playable track along with including a semi-functional tutorial section and re-uses the image seen when selecting a language for the 'Options' background.
  • Bikes are only divided by engine size within MX or SX rather than having their own options along the navigation bar.
  • Originally you could see the length for MX tracks and both categories (MX/SX) had their track orders tweaked for retail, Saint D'Angely was also named Des Nations with noticeably placeholder details marked under 'NEED DATA'.
  • Bonus riders do not appear to have been made at this point in time or are hidden.
  • Birth country of each rider uses different/incorrect terminology, for example Switzerland instead of Swiss or Holland instead of Dutch.
  • A handful of the fictional riders have their names in an earlier state such as John Thompson (John Beaty), Verherstraeten (Freddy Smurf) and Nicolas Zanzani (Jason Cordero).
  • Miscellaneous Notes:
    • Game is emulatable (in PCSX2): Yes (as of August 22, 2026).
    • Game contains dongle protection: No.
