A prototype of Far Cry 3 for the Xbox 360.

Notes

  • This is the oldest known build that has the files for singleplayer mode (in reality The February 2, 2012 prototype) also contains these files but this build is not complete).
  • The map editor, multiplayer and singleplayer are playable.
  • Noticeable changes:
    • The loading screen sound is different
    • Menu animations are different (Swipe instead of fade out)
    • Intro is somewhat different from release (different dialogue and cuts)
    • The handbook seems to have a different layout and character photos
    • After the prologue ends - the main theme is cut differently
  • The ending has some changes:
    • The "Far Cry 3 / I'm Sorry" theme doesn't play during the ending. (Although it could be caused by the debug mode)
    • Jasons dialogue ("I've killed so many people" reflection) plays in a different spot.
    • Instead of the "Save your friends" text below the button, the text is "Save Liza" (Leftover of the old story plot)
  • Contains two gym worlds (worlds with 1 or more test maps) one world for coop and the other for multiplayer.
  • Contains the DLC "mp_dlc1" probably different from the final version.
  • Contains 1 .xex that allow you to run the game and based on tests carried out on Xenia Canary version 15th of July 2024 it can be said that:
    • fcx_p.xex: Everything seems to be playable (the article photo corresponds to this .xex)
