A prototype of Seaman for the Dreamcast.

Notes

  • Compiled over 9 months after the initial Japanese retail build
  • Most likely a localization intermediate
  • As it requires the microphone accessory, the game can't be played without it by regular means, and emulators without mic support will not work. This includes redream
    • Follow these steps to get it working (although actual microphone functionality, using PC mics, varies on a case-by-case basis
      • Download and extract Demul: http://demul.emulation64.com/files%2Fdemul07_111117.7z
      • Don't forget to find and download the correct Dreamcast bios file(s). Possibly look for a demul bios pack. The bios needs to be placed in the following path from the root directory of the Demul emulator: roms > dc (create the folders if you need to)
      • Once the emulator is set up, go to config > Maple Device Manager. Slot 1 of Port A should have VMU; set Slot 2 to Microphone and Slot 3 to Purupuru
      • Launch the game and it should work
  • Vivarium startup screen shows 1998 instead of 1999
  • The memory card prompt does not have the text "Do not remove the Memory Card" (which normally covers up copyright information)
    • Additionally, the warning post is noticeably different: brighter boards, the words are clearer, it says "Don't Panic!" instead of "Caution", and no TM
  • Same goes with the title screen (different copyright year, too)
  • No section to prep the water, the game begins with the tank already setup, and one fish already an adult
