The following is an MMC3 development board for the Famicom. It supports one PRG EPROM, one CHR EPROM, and SRAM, and was typically housed in a distinctive purple cartridge shell. Jumpers located at the top of the board are used to configure EPROM capacity, although some developers (most notably Hudson Soft) replaced these with switches for easier reconfiguration. Early revisions of the board used a "glob-top" MMC3, which was later replaced with the standard packaged MMC3 chip. Despite this hardware change, the updated board retained the same name and revision number.
