A prototype of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC.

Notes

  • The prototype has to be manually compiled before using.
    • The official building tools meant for this game version made by Rockstar were included in the source code leak.
  • The prototype can be compiled into multiple different releases, though so far only the 'Debug' release is known to work.
  • Code is approximately from September 16, 2022.
  • This version doesn't have the infamous texture bug in the Metro stations.

Debug Controls

This build can be compiled as a 'Bank Release' and as a 'Debug' release after fixing some bugs and disabling Social Club.

There are multiple 'keyboards' ('Game', 'Marketing', 'Replay' and 'Debug'). To switch between the four different keyboards, use the shortcut 'Left Control' + 'TAB'.

Debug Keyboard

  • 'F1' = Toggles an info screen about 'Peds', 'Cars', 'Random Cars', 'Objects', 'Physics instances', 'lights' and 'script'.
  • 'F2' = Toggles an info screen about NPC AI.
  • 'F3' = Triggers CHEAT4 (broken in this version).
  • 'F4' = Increases wanted level by one star and triggers CHEAT3 (broken in this version).
  • 'F5' = Seemingly reloads the entire game. Resetting the players wanted level.
  • 'F6' = Gives the player $5000.
  • 'F8' = Toggles an info screen about 'FAMILY_CONTROLLER STATE' (things like Jimmy spawning outside of Michael's home') and gives info about the 'PLAYER_SWITCH STATE', which shows the switch scene for each character.
  • 'F9' = Toggles an info screen about activated missions and 'COMMUNICATION CONTROL'.
  • 'F10' = Toggles an info screen about the friends system and status. The on-screen controls also allow you to change for example the status of the relationship between Michael and Franklin.
  • 'F11' = Toggles an info screen about random events. Showing which ones are currently active and which ones aren't.
  • 'F12' = Toggles an info screen about script performance.
  • 'SL' = Pauzes and unpauzes streaming, when streaming is disabled a text box will appear on screen saying that streaming is disabled.
  • 'PB' = Pauzes and unpauzes game.
  • '`' = Does things in this order when pressed multiple times: shows an info screen about light, shows another info screen about lights (this time a pie chart) and then disables both.
  • '2' = Causes an error to pop up and breaks the game controls (cannot be fixed without a reboot).
  • '8' = Causes Michael and Jimmy to send the player a total of 14 text messages containing empty 'Vehicle:', 'Color:' and 'Plate:' parameters, alongside a location with an image of said location.
  • '-' = Visually decreases the in-game time by one hour. (The actual clock time stays the same).
  • '=' = Visually increases the in-game time by one hour. (The actual clock time stays the same).
  • 'backspace' = Toggles weird random looking green shapes and pauses/unpauses the game.
  • 'Page Up/Down' = Change Weather.
  • 'Q' = Cycles between the three main characters. Their outfits are randomly selected.
  • 'W' = Gives all weapons with medium ammo. This includes online only and unused weapons.
  • 'R' = Renders the paths NPC's can drive on and shows an info menu about NPC vehicles. Pressing R for a second time removes the path rendering and pressing R a third time removes the info menu.
  • 'T' = Spawns a weird red orb in the world at the cursors position. The actual purpose is unknown.
  • 'U' = Spawns Michael's personal vehicle next to the player with no modifications.
  • 'I' = Shows the ground that NPC's can walk on and shows the bounding boxes of props like fire hydrants that the NPC's walk around. Pressing the button a second time gets rid of the solid plane rendering of the NPC walk paths and pressing it a third time makes the path boxes render in the colours green, red and white. A fourth press makes some of the paths purple and a fifth press makes it black. The sixth press makes it purple again, a seventh makes it invisible again and the eight press disables all this buttons debug rendering.
  • 'O' = Toggles the mini-map.
  • 'D' = Shows a popup saying 'HELP_DBGPADON missing' and breaks game controls just like the '2' button.
  • 'F' = Unknown.-->
  • 'G' = Shows the same red orb as the button 'T', but this time when you stop pressing the button you get teleported to the orbs position.
  • 'H' = Triggers CHEAT2 (broken in this version, supposed to warp the player to their safe-house).
  • 'J' = Makes a green label appear saying 'Nothing left to skip'.
  • ';' = Toggles light effects like bloom, glow and shadows. Does not disable reflections though.
  • 'X' = Toggles an info screen about what clothing the player is wearing.
  • 'V' = Gives the notification 'HELP_INVIN missing' on first press and the message 'HELP_NOINVIN missing' on second press.
  • 'B' = Shows multiple information screens about performance like FPS and the performance of rendering and scripts.
  • 'N' = Makes the same red orb as the button 'T' appear and adds a label to the map showing the players character name.
  • 'M' = Makes a big black UI appear on screen, related to some debugging features that are seen working on the PS3/Xbox 360 debug builds of the game.
  • '/' = Shows a table UI with the title 'Default Picker'.
  • 'Right Shift' = Disables anti-aliasing when pressed down.
  • 'Shift' + 'F2' = Same as 'F2'.
  • 'Shift' + 'F8' = Cycles through a bunch of different profilers.
  • 'Shift' + 'F9' = Changes the graph size of the previously mentioned profilers.
  • 'Shift' + 'F10' = Changes the graph size of the previously mentioned profilers.
  • 'Shift' + 'F11' = Toggles debug text about 'Drawlcalls'.
  • 'Shift' + 'PS' = Clears your clipboard.
  • 'Shift' + 'PB' = Pauses and unpauses the game.
  • 'Shift' + 'R' = Info screen about peds.
  • 'Shift' + 'T' = Toggles through different 'Zone' displays. Sadly these displays are broken and don't actually show.
  • 'Shift' + 'U' = Spawns the player into an Obey Tailgater.
  • 'Shift' + 'I' = Same as 'I'.
  • 'Shift' + 'O' = Toggles through a bunch of overviews that can be scrolled up and down on using the Up and Down keys. One of these overviews shows all debug keyboard shortcuts. This list is sadly incomplete with some entries missing info or being outdated.
  • 'Control' + 'S' = Shows debug information for the world events that can occur at the position your looking at.
  • 'Shift' + 'S' = VRAM allocation (usage) overview.
  • 'Shift' + 'B' = Some weird overlay showing the in-game time accurate to the second and the date, which is set to the first of January 2011. Also shows an info box about light, player velocity, if a player is in an interior or exterior and the culling of map blips.
  • 'Shift' + '.' = Skips the currently playing radio song.

Marketing

  • 'O' = Disables all UI.
