A prototype/prerelease LAN multiplayer-only build of Project: Snowblind for the Xbox, from 2004-11-17 (about 10 weeks before the release build).

Notes

The multiplayer functionality appears to still be fully functional, if one has access to multiple XDKs connected to a local network. The maps can also be explored offline by using the server-host mode.

If the files are copied from the disc to the hard drive of an XDK, the game.ini file can be edited to enable a few additional features. For example:

If this line:

int32 "lanpressdemo"=1;

Is replaced with:

int32 "lanpressdemo"=0;

...then all menu options (not just System Link) become active. The single-player mode fails to load due to some data files which were not included in this build. However, making the change to this setting also enables the Tsim Sha Tsui, Hwa-Guang Prison, Tonnochi Tower, and Kowloon Garage multiplayer maps, which are otherwise hidden.

If this line:

int32 "debug draw flags\\disable script debug print"=1;

Is replaced with:

int32 "debug draw flags\\disable script debug print"=0;

Then some debugging text will be displayed near the top of the screen.
