A prototype of Ice Age 2: The Meltdown for the PlayStation 2.
Notes
- Watermarked to Tips & Tricks. This watermark appears at all times except in menus.
- Even though the timestamp on the executable is Jan 23, 2006 and the date on the disc is Jan 26, 2006, there's an additional timestamp that appears all times for Dec 16, 2005.
- Considering that the game data is actually from Dec 16, 2005 and only the executable is dated Jan 2006, the build should be dated a little over a month before the first available final build (US final).
- Fox Interactive has a mention in the legal disclaimer that would later be removed.
- There is a logo for 20th Century Fox that would also be removed in the final.
- A small debugger is enabled. Pressing select on Controller 1 enables free movement mode.
- A significant portion of the voice acting are placeholders that were recorded with a Text-to-Speech voice.
- The Bat Cave Challenge is very different. Manny is absent, and the player has to find five bats with matching colors before the timer runs out.
- A FMV plays after completing Penguin Bowling. It is a slideshow of screenshots of the Fast Tony scene from the movie, narrated by Fast Tony.
- Fast Tony also narrates the rest of the FMVs. They would later be replaced with film clips or Manny would narrate the scene isntead.
- All of the videos on the Bonus Features menu after named after the characters rather than their voice actors.
- All of the bonus videos are placeholders. The placeholder videos used appear to be even older versions of the FMVs that play between levels.
- Miscellaneous Notes:
- Game is emulatable (in PCSX2): Yes (as of March 17, 2021).
- Game contains dongle protection: No.
