Alpha 1.0.0 was released to the public on June 30, 2010. The day before, there was a downloadable offline client tech test on the website. Alpha 1.0.0 was first labeled as an infdev version, but was retroactively declared to be the first alpha version of the game.

Notes

• Alpha 1.0.0 was labeled as Minecraft Infdev when you loaded up a world
• Wood and Cobblestone stairs were only the Wood Planks texture and the Cobblestone texture as the stair texture was not added until Alpha 1.0.1.
• The last infinite liquid source is removed, which is the lava variant.
