A prototype of Silent Hill 2 for the Sony Play Station 2.
Notes
- Starts you off at the beginning of the game and ends right before the boss encounter of Pyramid Head in the apartment stairway.
- Various differences from the final release of Silent Hill 2, mostly revolving around changed sounds and subtitles/text. Some differences include:
- Various types on signs/letterings.
- Slightly rearranged inventory menu.
- Different "now loading" animations.
- Different camera angles for certain areas.
- The removal of certain lines/audio spoken by James.
- The removal/addition of certain pick-up items.
- Different attack and enemy sounds.
- Exploring the file contents of this disc reveals most, if not all, of the game's data is included in this disc. Meaning, with some modding/hacking, you're likely able to explore beyond the artificial boundary set by this prototype to explore many other early areas of the game.
