A prototype of Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride for the Game Boy Advance.

Notes

  • The legal screen is replaced with a placeholder screen which literally just says "Legal Screen".
  • The Graphic State logo screen uses a different animation and slightly narrower text.
  • Contains the European language select, but there is no Italian language option.
  • Different autodemo featuring different music, locations and cars.
    • The word "DEMO" is missing from this screen.
  • Music differs throughout the game, and generally sounds a lot simpler than the final tracks. Two tracks are present.
  • Menu font appears to be different. Menu option for "CRAZY TAXI" instead says "SINGLE PLAYER".
  • The text in the Crazy Box menu is laid out slightly differently, resulting in some text running off the side of the screen.
  • When choosing a city, the pictures of each city are instead replaced with placeholder images, with the main photos simply being the text "City 1" and "City 2".
  • Loading screens simply cut to a black screen for a while instead.
  • A large black bar covers part of the top of the screen during gameplay - the HUD is placed atop this bar.
  • In-game HUD text is shaded slightly differently.
  • Pause menu contains an "ENGINE" menu which allows you to modify the draw distance and screen position. The latter allows the player to remove the aforementioned black HUD border by switching the "BORDERS" option to "FULL SCREEN".
  • Some of the Crazy Box locations look different.
  • Some of the passengers in a few of the Crazy Box missions have a different coloured dollar symbol above their heads.
  • Some in-game sprites, such as the balloon explosion effects in Crazy Box, look a bit different.
  • Many HUD elements are missing or incomplete.
