A prototype of Thrasher Presents: Skate and Destroy for the PlayStation.

Notes

  • After the Playstation logo, a disc icon on the bottom right displays for the loading screen. In the final, it shows the Rockstar logo sequence
  • Then it goes straight to the title screen with no other intro logos, FMVs, etc.
  • There are some changes in the soundtrack.
  • The multiplayer menu is inaccessible.
  • Items in the options menu are misaligned.
  • The last item on the options menu appears to be "view tricks", but trying to select it will reveal two different options, "controller config" and "credits".
  • You cannot access the game options, audio options, controller config, or credits.
  • The hi-score menu is very basic with a blue background and default fonts.
  • You cannot back out of the hi-score menu without resetting the game.
  • Choosing "Skate" prompts the player to enter their name first; in the final, it goes straight to the character select
  • The name input interface is badly misaligned.
  • The character selection has misaligned character bios, and no stats.
  • Different loading screen, with no hints.
  • In the final, when the map begins, a message gives instructions. In the prototype, it asks about seeing the tutorial.
  • You cannot access some of the options on the pause menu.
  • Slight animation and sound changes.
  • Some tricks do not work correctly.
  • The in-game HUD is different.
  • No music when skating until a run is started.
  • Set to hardcore difficulty by default.
  • Some options are oddly flipped despite the text. (yes is no and no is yes.)
  • Miscellaneous Notes:
    • Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
    • Game contains dongle protection: No.
    • Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
    • Dump was originally scrambled: No
