A prototype of Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle for the PlayStation.

Notes

  • Very simple Activision logo, a still image
  • No legal disclaimer
  • Different loading screens. It presents mission objectives, tips, controls.
  • Different in-game music (not heard in the final), and some sound effects
  • Harry isn't voiced by Bruce Campbell
  • No voice clips from the player
  • The player's health bar has the word Activision in it
  • The level included in this demo is not the introductory one from the final. It features a lot of gameplay elements only seen in later levels
  • Controls are rather slippery
  • Really loud, jump-scare type death screams when falling into the abyss
  • The scorpion enemy can't be killed
  • There's a weird powerup that emits a loud, intense beam of electricity.
  • One of the enemies is suspended in animation, slouched over, when killed. Its corpse still damages the player
  • 1-up items are different, and they respawn after death, which makes things easier.
  • Losing all lives or completing the level soft-locks the game on the "coming soon" screen
  • Miscellaneous Notes:
    • Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
    • Game contains dongle protection: No.
    • Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
    • Dump was originally scrambled: No
