Notes

The Cutting Room Floor research
  • The following files were replaced with retail counterparts to remove watermarks: _user1.cab, _user1.hdr, SETUP.INS
  • The exe inside DATA1.CAB has been replaced with a modified version that has no watermark in it
  • A save editor to overcome plenty of issues that can/will be encountered during the playthrough is included in the archive
  • Marked as an alpha build in the exe information
  • Playing music from the second disc might be spotty on modern systems, it is recommend to mount the second disc 2 dump with Virtual CloneDrive and install the game on C:\
  • The intro is very different and contains no audio and most other movies are placeholders
  • Titlescreen has no music
  • Different set of default starting characters
  • Only 5 pieces of music are implemented
  • Track 4 has been replaced with something else in the retail game
  • The starting intro uses the track "The Sabres of Paradise - R.S.D." as a placeholder
  • Placeholder names and text throughout the game are present
  • Theres many visual and functionality differences present throughout the UI
  • Different loading screen
  • The Dragon Cave on Emerald Isle is much larger instead of being just a circular room
  • Most maps are very barren as no decorations at all have been placed
  • A lot of interior renders have no audio to go along with it or are pure placeholders
  • Game can be played from start to finish although at the end it will just keep playing a placeholder cutscene instead of sending the player to the end screen
  • Files contain many unused files that were removed from the final game including multiple versions of the UI
